This workshop will delve into the details of how soil fertility works on a molecular level, and send you home with concrete steps to take for your garden. We will walk through the soil analysis from five samples taken at Wildside, and will mix and spread a custom blend of amendments on at least one of these zones. Registration is required, as this workshop is topped at 12 people. It’s taught by Emmet Van Driesche, former property steward for the Bulllitt Reservation in Ashfield, proprietor of the Pieropan Christmas Tree farm, a coppiced tree farm since the 1950s, and the founder of the Western Massachusetts Scything Association. To register, email or call Sue Bridge (the owner of Wildside) at (413) 369-4616 or firstname.lastname@example.org. There is a suggested donation of $10.
