Workshop: Municipal Farmland Leasing and Protection

Leasing municipally owned land to farmers can be a great way to add to your town’s revenues while helping to keep farms in farming. In our December Municipal Official Continuing Education Series, we present an excellent opportunity to learn the particulars of leasing and/or protecting town-owned land, especially farmland. Speakers include Land for Good’s Senior Program Director and Mount Grace Land Conservation Trust’s Land Conservation Specialist. Please note: any of the lessons learned in this workshop can also be applied to land other than farmland.

Who should attend? Town Administrators, Planning Boards, Select Boards, Agricultural Commissions, Conservation Commissions, Open Space Committees and Community Preservation Committees
