Delivery Driver- Kitchen Garden Farm

Kitchen Garden Farm grows 65 acres of certified organic vegetables in Sunderland, MA, and produces specialty food products including sriracha, salsa, pickles, and dried chilies from ingredients grown on the farm.

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting our fresh produce and shelf stable items in a refrigerated van and/or box truck to various locations in the Pioneer Valley, Eastern MA and Rhode Island. This is a vital role in our company, as you will be the face of our organization to our customers.

Our delivery schedule is:

Mondays- Eastern MA and Rhode Island: 7am-3-6pm (depending number of deliveries)

Tuesdays – Pioneer Valley: 7am-1-3pm (depending number of deliveries)

Wednesdays- Eastern MA and Rhode Island: 7am-3-6pm (depending number of deliveries)

Saturdays- Pioneer Valley: 7am-1-3pm (depending number of deliveries)

Length of delivery routes shifts seasonally. There is significatly more work May-December than Jan-April. If the candidate is interested we may be able to offer an additonal day per week of other tasks on the farm or in our commercial kitchen.

Responsibilities:

– Safely and efficiently operate refrigerated vans and box trucks

– Load and unload goods from the vehicle paying attention to which items are for each customer

– Follow provided delivery schedules and routes

– Ensure all deliveries are made on time and in accordance with customer requirements

– Inspect vehicles before and after each trip to ensure they are in good working condition

– Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations during deliveries

– Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, including handling customer inquiries or concerns

Qualifications:

– Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

– Experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role

– Ability to drive large vehicles (no CDL required)

– Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines

– Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording delivery information

– Ability to lift heavy packages
