Hiring: Directory Designer – Western Mass Fibershed

We are Hiring!

Western Massachusetts Fibershed is seeking a detail oriented, creative, and collaborative Website Directory Designer to build and optimize our online directory platform.

Western Mass Fibershed is a nonprofit affiliate of the national Fibershed organization. We are working to create a thriving and sustainable regional fiber economy. We are committed to understanding and strengthening connections and collaboration between farmers, and consumers. To support and promote local businesses, we want to create a directory on our website, westernmassfibershed.org, where farmers, fiber processors and spinning mills, fiber artists (weavers, dyers, designers) and retailers may list products and services.

Key Responsibilities:  

• Design directory compatible with our WordPress website
• Listing Management- Develop processes and page templates for vendors to apply for the directory and update their directory listings using our WordPress template.
• Directory Structure- Design intuitive navigation, tags, and search filters so users can easily find and sort listings alphabetically by category or keyword
• Square Compatibility- Design all payment processes to go through Square.

Compensation: 

$75/ hour for an estimated 10 hours of work

We will provide the designer with the text and examples of the format/design that we’re looking for.
