The Springfield Food Policy Council (SFPC) is seeking a Farm Manager to lead day-to-day agricultural operations at 40 Acres Farm, a 16-acre community-based farm in Agawam, Massachusetts. Rooted in the historic vision of “40 Acres and a Mule,” the farm serves as a center for food production, workforce development, and farmer incubation that advances racial equity, food justice, and economic opportunity.

The Farm Manager will report directly to the SFPC Executive Director and will oversee production and operations at the Agawam site. The position plays a key leadership role in supporting immigrant and refugee farmers in incubation programsjustice-involved emerging apprentice farmers, and coordinating production and sales across SFPC’s growing network of urban and regional farm sites.

This role requires strong agricultural management skills, a commitment to community-based farming, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, program participants, and partners.

Flexible salary range from $25.00/hr with access to farmland for their own use to $30/hr without land.
