Request for Statements of Interest for Assignment of the Right to Purchase 7.8 acres of an APR in Plainfield, MA

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts, acting through the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources (“MDAR”), is the holder of an Agricultural Preservation Restriction (“APR”) with an Option to Purchase at Agricultural Value on 7.8 acres of farmland (no structures) at the corner of Broom and South Central Street in Plainfield, MA. The APR is recorded at the Franklin County Registry of Deeds in Book 11361, Page 235. MDAR is seeking persons or entities qualified and capable of accepting an assignment of MDAR’s right to purchase the farmland for $15,000.00 and purchasing the land by April 6, 2017.
