Land Available – Huntington : 1.5 acre, good soil, treated organically. Market Garden, Herbal Garden possibilities.

We are semi-retired and unable to keep up with it all. We would rather have it in production with someone who will treat it organically. This is a good time to start thinking and planning for next year. It’s not about money, it’s about having it in food or herb production and making a difference in the community. We can help as much as possible to ease the work.

We have been creating a small orchard. There are 15 (two year old) Asian Pear trees; 24 (one to three year old) Chestnut trees planted around the edges; and 20 blueberry bushes. There is a small Ramp planting (20’ x 30’) in the adjacent woods. We previously rotationally grazed cows and sheep; last year was the first year without animals.

We are in Huntington, near the intersection of Searles and County Rd., just off Rte. 66. Twelve miles from downtown Northampton.
