The Chicopee Chamber of Commerce is seeking a manager for the Center Fresh Farmers Market, to take place every Thursday from 1-6PM in Chicopee Center. The Chicopee Chamber of Commerce works to improve the overall business climate by uniting, guiding and speaking for those engaged in business and industry, toward the advancement of economic and civil well-being for all citizens of the Greater Chicopee area.

Candidate should be self-motivated, creative, and personable, with ability to multi-task and work independently. Job will require customer service skills, ability to problem-solve, and manage cash. Marketing and social media experience a plus. Candidate must be available to work Thursdays, May-October. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.

Market manager will be responsible for onsite operation of and social media content for a newly established farmers market in Chicopee Center. Along with welcoming customers and vendors, manager will be responsible for operation of SNAP equipment and tokens, set up and break down of pop-up tents and tables (ability to lift 30 pounds necessary) and assisting vendors with their set-ups. Market manager will be responsible for creating an inclusive, safe, and fun environment for Center Fresh vendors and clients. Market manager will be the first person on site every Thursday, and the last person to leave.

Candidate will report directly to the Director of the Chicopee Chamber of Commerce and work in collaboration with the Center Fresh committee. Work environment is fun, professional, collaborative and Chicopee focused. To apply, send resume and cover letter to julie@chicopeechamber.org.
