Cob, (adobe), is a traditional building material made from clay, sand and straw. It can build houses, stoves, ovens and more. In this full day workshop we’ll design and build a permanent, highly efficient wood fired oven at Next Barn Over farm, using local clay and materials. We’ll discuss the principles behind it and then roll up our sleeves. Participants will be comfortable to make simple cob structures on their own by the end of the day. Bring enthusiasm, work clothes, and empty beer bottles. Pot-luck lunch.

Workshop put on by Ape and Ape, Inc., a valley cooperative offering on-site butchering and instruction, cob building, and edible landscaping services.
