Beekeeping 101: An Introduction

Are you thinking about starting a wonderful hobby with a fascinating social insect that will bring you closer to nature? Do you want to know more about what beekeeping entails? This practical workshop will help you understand and potentially start the craft of keeping honeybees. The program will include information about hives and beekeeping material, set-up, costs, honeybee life, a beekeeper’s year, pests & diseases, and natural management.

This will be the first of 3 beekeeping workshops. Attend one, or attend them all! In April, visit the apiary for a hands-on introduction to Hive Management & and in May, witness a live Package Installation and discuss feeding, the life cycle, and hive expansion.
