About

The Hampshire College Farm and its Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs provide our campus and community members with local, sustainably-raised produce and meat, as well as rich educational opportunities. Begun in the late 1970s for on-campus research purposes, the farm expanded its scope in 1992 when a small group of students began a small, organic vegetable CSA. Our students and staff now grow produce on 15 acres of campus land and in two all-season hoophouses. We also raise grass-fed beef and lamb, as well as pastured, heritage breed pigs and free-range laying hens. Our products are sold through our vegetable and meat CSAs and supplied to our on-campus dining hall.
