Sign up for CISA's enewsSteve’s Sugar Shack is open for breakfast seasonally on Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00am – 1:00pm from the last weekend of February through mid-April. The 2026 dates are February 21/22 through April 11/12 (closed on Easter). Food is cooked to order and seating is first-come, first-serve, no reservations. Watch maple syrup being boiled on site and hear an explanation of the process from tap to table from owner Stephen Holt. Maple syrup, cream, candy, and granulated maple sugar is available for sale during open breakfast hours or by appointment during the work week by calling 413-527-0294. Breakfast is served on Saturdays and Sundays late February through mid April with maple syrup made right on site. The boiling operation is right there in the middle of a very large dining room so folks can see the process of how maple syrup is made during their visit. On some weekends we may have a special visit from a neighboring oxen team (and their human) to demonstrate gathering sap and for photo ops.
