3rd Annual 12 Mile Meal Chef Battle at Northampton Jazz Fest

The 3rd Annual 12 Mile Meal Chef Throw Down At Northampton Jazz Festival is on Saturday September 7th from 11am to 3pm behind Thornes Marketplace in Downtown Northampton. This year’s competing restaurants are Northampton’s Sierra Grille, Easthampton’s Popcorn Noir and Holyoke’s Slainte.  Each chef team with be trying to build the best 12 Mile Meal for a blue ribbon panel of judges and a table of VIP Diner Donors, all with foods sourced from within a 12 mile radius of the chef tent. The chefs will not know what the ingredients will be until the competition begins and each team will be asked to make an appetizer, an entree and a dessert with foods from the areas finest farms inside the 12 mile radius with awards for each course, best table and an overall winner for best 12 Mile Meal. Please join your host for the event, 12 Mile Meal Director, Rick Gifford for what will be another great chef battle at Northampton Jazz Festival 2013.  The event is free and open to the public and there are 12 VIP Diner Donor spots at each of the three restaurant’s tables for those of you who would like to dine with us and have the experience of being one of only 36 diners to enjoy the fine foods our chefs will be preparing.
