A Primer to Building a Farm-Scale Irrigation System – Workshop

Trevor Hardy of Hollis, NH’s Brookdale Fruit Farm will demonstrate how to set up a farm irrigation system. He will discuss systems using commercial wells and systems utilizing surface water and movable pumps. He will discuss drip and overhead irrigation as well as a hybrid overhead option connected to drip line headers. Trevor will come with many irrigation parts and components demonstrating how they are assembled to create a functioning small farm system. He will also provide details of how “to do the math” for workshop individuals for their own farms.
Brookdale Fruit Farm is a multi-generational family owned farm comprising 400 acres of tree fruit and vegetables in Hollis, NH. 12 acres and 4 greenhouses are currently USDA certified organic. Trevor has 20 years of experience running a farm irrigation supply business as an additional enterprise at Brookdale Fruit Farm.
