Beehive Tour and Honey Tasting

Want a unique and educational experience unlike anything you’ve done before? Yard Birds Farm takes adults and kids into the heart of a beehive! Thousands of buzzing bees fly around you as Angela explains how these tiny, yet powerful creatures work and live. Learn the fascinating inner workings of the hive and why bees are vital to the local and global ecosystem. The Beehive Tour is designed for gardeners, nature enthusiasts, adventurers, foodies and other non-beekeepers who want to learn more about bees, but who don’t necessarily want to become beekeepers (yet!). Conclude the tour with a delicious tasting of a variety of honeys.

This tour is hands on.  Bee suits will be provided.  Participants will need to bring a brimmed hat and wear long pants and boots.
