Brookfield Farm Pig Roast

Catered by Wheelhouse Farm at Brookfield Farm in Amherst, MA, a feast created by 2 pioneers of the western Massachusetts sustainable.
On the menu a smoked a pig, cooked vegetables buried deep underground, soup made in a 5 gallon cauldron over an open fire, and communally harvested carrots for 100+ guests. Established in 1986, Brookfield Farm is the third community supported agriculture project in the US. Wheelhouse Farm written about by Mark Bittman at New York Magazine and featured in Outside Magazine’s 2017 article “26 of the best trips to take right now.”
