For farmers who produce packaged products currently or are looking towards the future of selling in larger retail stores, through regional distributors or other larger markets. From honey to salsa, from grass-fed meat and dairy to salad greens, what are the benefits and detriments one should know about bigger companies and what to do if you are approached by an investor? Plus, what are the current industry marketing trends that have been shaped by our craft and small farm movements and how are those industries beginning to shape us?

About the Presenter

Sara Talcott a marketing communications and branding specialist with over 10 years of experience leading marketing for brands like Chobani and Maple Hill Creamery. She is currently the Director of Marketing and Communications for the Community Foundation of Western MA. You can find out more information about her work in farm product marketing here. 

Cost for individual workshops is $15 and $10 for additional attendees from your farm. Local Hero Members receive 20% off attendance. Food will be provided. Scholarships are available if cost is a barrier to attending.
