Creating Your Own Permaculture Landscape in Your Backyard with Ashley Schenk

You can apply permaculture design to any backyard, big or small, shady or drenched with sun. Ashley uses examples from gardens throughout the Pioneer Valley to show how you can use Permaculture Design to grow food, nourish a healthy ecosystem, and build a deeper relationship with your land. His clear explanation of the design process, specific examples, and knowledge of design strategies helps you focus in on your goals, learn useful strategies, and identifying what is and isn’t working in your landscape.

Ashley Schenk has six years of experience as a natural builder and permaculture designer. He recently co-founded a permaculture landscaping cooperative, Broadfork Permaculture, and has been working throughout Franklin and Hampshire Counties designing and implementing healthy backyard landscapes.
