Greenfield Community College is offering “Permaculture Landscape Management & Installation” course this fall!

Permaculture Landscape Management & Installation – AGR 115, can be taken for-credit (1-credit) or credit-free through Community Education.

When: Two Friday afternoons Sept. 6 and Sept. 20 from 1-4:30p; and Saturday, Sept. 21 from 9am-5p
Where: S312 at Greenfield Community College; and two field trips in Greenfield and Conway
Course Description:
Offers students hands-on permaculture skills for productive landscapes. Students gain applied skills through direct observation of and interaction with permaculture systems, including an edible forest garden, stormwater irrigation system, greenhouse, constructed pond, earth-bermed root cellar, and living roof. This course combines on-site lectures describing landscape management procedures and hands-on installation activities such as mulching, planting, pruning and light-construction. Special Requirement: Field trips
