Lunch On Local

Join us for this free event on Zoom or in the CISA conference room for a short, informal discussion about what’s happening in our local food system on March 7th at noon. Click here to register.
Our Special Project Director Margaret Christie will briefly share how we’re helping farms in the aftermath of last year’s crises, followed by your questions or comments.
We’ll discuss:
- Increasing our Senior FarmShare program, made possible by your support of our Growing Resilience campaign. With our community’s support, we’re bringing the total this year to 800.
- Supporting farmers directly through our Emergency Farm Fund, which has made $215,000 in zero-interest loans to nine farms to help them stay in business.
- Wrapping up the final stretch of our Growing Resilience campaign to expand CISA’s capacity to help farmers adapt to climate change, increase our food access programs, and much more.
Last year was particularly tough for our local farmers, and your support made a real difference. Come hear from Margaret and others at CISA about how we’re helping and how things are looking for 2024!
