Networking and Grants Showcase for New Farmers
February 28 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pmFree
Get to know your fellow farmers and join us for an evening of networking and free pizza at the newly renovated barn at Crimson and Clover Farm! In the first half hour, Nate Frigard of Crimson and Clover will speak on implementing and leveraging large grant funds on his farm, including the Matching Enterprise Grants for Agriculture (MEGA) and Food Security Infrastructure Grant Program (FSIG). MDAR representatives, Jess Camp and Melissa Adams, will give an overview of grants available through MDAR and be available to answer questions, with a focus on MEGA, and MDAR’s farm viability program. The networking portion will follow, with time to chat with fellow farmers and MDAR staffers. This event is open to all farmers, particularly those who are new to grants or are in their first few years of farming. Kids are welcome.
