Selling to Everyone: A Workshop for Farmers’ Market Managers, Vendors, and Staff

CISA invites farmers’ market managers, staff, and vendors to come to together and identify how your farmers’ market can attract more customers and provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.

Workshops will be held in three locations :

Tuesday, November 27th 5:30-8:30 at Max’s Tavern: 1000 W Columbus Ave., Springfield, MA 01105 (Dinner catered by Max’s Tavern)

Wednesday, November 28th 5:30-8:30 at 17- Main St., Greenfield (next to Green Fields Market)

Thursday, November 29th 5:30-8:30 at Northampton Senior Center, 67 Conz St.

Participants will identify their farmers’ markets’ mission and core values and assess which potential customers do and do not currently attend the market. This will help make your market even more welcoming and ultimately attract and retain loyal market customers.

Anticipate Outcomes Include:

  1. Recognize the community culture and demographics served by your market
  2. Create quality customer service and behaviors that draw in and adapt to a diversity of customer needs
  3. Identify new practice to implement for the upcoming market season

Market managers, staff, and vendors are strongly encouraged to attend one session as a group and there will be opportunities for discussion together. Each session is limited to 20 participants.
