Slow Money Regional Gathering

August 22, 2016 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Across New England, Slow Money networks are innovating in bringing together investors and entrepreneurs. Join us at Shelburne Farms to be a part of the conversation with local food entrepreneurs, Main St investors, and all the folks that are helping food systems to develop.

Exciting and unique things are happening across New England in local food system development. This Gathering brings together entrepreneurs and network leaders from four Slow Money networks: Slow Money Maine, Slow Money Greater Boston, and Slow Money Pioneer Valley (Western MA), and is convened by Slow Money Vermont.

Learn how Maine brings together individuals to fund food businesses collaboratively; how Boston connects foodies with increasingly direct and impactful ways of supporting food system development; and how the Pioneer Valley enables investors of all kinds to support flourishing enterprises across the value chain. Vermont reveals the “special sauce” behind its powerful food system network.

In addition to ample networking opportunities, the Gathering will feature deep-dive information sharing on:

  • Investing for the World We Want
  • Raising the Right Capital at the Right Time (for entrepreneurs)
  • How Public Sector, Philanthropic, Technical Assistance, and Value Chain Coordination Leaders Can Best Collaborate So All Boats Rise
