Summer Work Party at Nutwood Farm

At last!  Our greenhouse/barn is going up!

With the support of all of our Barnraiser backers and friends, we finally have a foundation in place and all the materials we need to raise the first key structure for our budding nut farm.

Many of you have asked us whether we’d have any more work parties this year – joyfully, the answer is yes!  We have a 32′ long x 12′ tall masonry thermal wall to build out of concrete block, and we can’t think of a more fun thing to do with all of you.  We’ll bring the cinder blocks, mortar and cement; you bring a shovel or wheelbarrow, a masonry trowel if you have one, and a buddy (your neighbor, your mom, whoever!)  We’ll be mixing, hauling, mortaring, and building all day – the more the merrier so come join us for an hour or an afternoon:

We’ll have lunch fixings and post work party libations, potluck offerings gladly accepted.  Gloves, shoes, and cementable clothing recommended.  All hands all sizes are all welcome!
