The Summer Permaculture Design Course with Sowing Solutions at Sirius EcoVillage

July 19, 2014 @ 8:00 am - August 17, 2014 @ 5:00 pm

This is a one-of-a-kind Permaculture Design Certification course (PDC) offering a unique opportunity to gain hands-on ecological design experience, while studying with leading permaculture designers from the northeast, and immersing in life at the world-renowned Sirius EcoVillage (a leading demonstration site for sustainable living).

Studying permaculture at this eco-village offers you a chance to witness permaculture strategies and techniques in action, and learn from them. You’ll learn first hand about four season greenhouses, naturally built homes, edible forest gardens, raised bed vegetable CSA, community process and decision making, conflict resolution practices, food storage, renewable energy systems, soil improvement strategies, waste recycling, compost, ecological design process, and many skill shares!  Skills gathered in this course can be directly applied to your home landscape.

This course is offered as a two-week intensive during the summer (OR in a weekend series format during the spring, one weekend a month). This course is eligible for 3 optional college credits with UMASS Amherst.

Register online here. Registration date is May 1st for early bird savings.
