Workshop: Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary
May 22, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
The New England Wild Flower Society is offering a workshop at the Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary. Join us at Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary to identify a variety of trees, shrubs, and wildflowers and hear stories about their uses by indigenous people, colonial Americans, and modern-day folks. Have you ever found yourself on a hike without a toothbrush or toilet paper? Never fear. On this trip you will learn about plants like Indian toothbrush and the “toilet paper tree,” as well as plants for making herbal teas and a Chippewa remedy for “craziness.” Bring a bag lunch.
Registration is $25 (member) and $30 (nonmember).
