Join Sunderland MA’s Kitchen Garden Farm and Joshua Faulkner of the University of Vermont’s Climate Change and Farming program for an inside look at tile drainage and drip irrigation adaptation practices in action. In 2019, Kitchen Garden installed a new tile drainage system – one of only a few that has been installed locally in recent years. And since 2008, the farm has been refining an irrigation system that covers field crops, high tunnels, and the farm’s propagation house. The first on-farm workshop after CISA’s Adapting Your Farm to Climate Change Annual Workshop Series kick-off webinar (view here), this farmer-focused event will share Kitchen Garden’s experiences with the two systems and answer your questions as you consider adaptations of your own.
