Eastern States Exposition (“The Big E”), West Springfield, Mass.
17-day fair (2022 dates: Friday, September 17 through Sunday, October 2)
Building hours: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily
Starting date: July 2022
Salary: to be determined
Work with current booth manager to:
- Act as liaison with Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources (MDAR)
Complete and file booth application (March-April); attend required meetings; obtain insurance; obtain West Springfield board of health certificate; coordinate booth fee; obtain tickets and parking pass credentials for booth personnel; arrange for refrigerator and freezer trucks
- Hire vendors and arrange for deliveries
Fresh apples from Massachusetts orchards; apple pies; apple crisp; apple squares; apple cider; cider donuts; water; ice cream
- Staff booth
Hire paid staff; recruit volunteers; create and manage staffing schedule
- Supply booth
Paper goods; cleaning supplies
- Finances
Maintain daily record of revenue; make bank deposits; pay vendors and staff
Clean and set up during the week prior to fair opening (Sept. 9-15, 2022)
Empty and clean booth day after fair closing (October 3, 2022)
