Hiring: Dairy Farmer Barstow’s Longview Farm

We are seeking a dedicated farmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be reliable, possess a strong interest in dairy farming, and have a high standard of animal husbandry.  This is a physically demanding role that requires strong animal handling skills, a passion for working with livestock, the ability to operate heavy equipment, and initiative.

Duties:
– Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
– Provide daily care of the herd, including monitoring their health and behavior
– Perform routine tasks such as cleaning out barns, stalls, and equipment

Qualifications:
– Previous experience working with animals, preferably in a farm or agricultural setting is a plus
– Knowledge of livestock care practices is a plus
– Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and repairs is a plus
– Ability to handle large animals safely and efficiently
– Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual labor
– Familiarity with veterinary procedures is a plus
– Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
– Taking care of newborn calves, birthing protocols and care of the cow.

Note: This position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time
Pay: $18.00 – $23.00 per hour (or more with experience)
Expected hours: 45 – 55 per week
