Kitchen Garden Farm is hiring a delivery driver to deliver the farm’s produce to local stores and restaurants as well as customers in Boston and Rhode Island in a 16′ refrigerated box truck or van 4 days/week.

Kitchen Garden Farm grows 50 acres of organic vegetables, and produces specialty food products including sriracha, salsa, pickles, and dried chilies from ingredients grown on the farm. We are looking for highly energetic, motivated and passionate individuals who can serve as the public face of the farm to our wholesale customers across New England.

Monday and Wednesday are full days driving to Boston and Rhode Island and back, Tuesday and Saturday are shorter days delivering to customers from Shelburne Falls to Easthampton. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Successful candidates should be self-motivated, detail oriented, able to lift 50+ lbs, have strong communication and problem-solving skills and a positive attitude. Schedule is approximately 30 hours per week.

Job Responsibilities:

-Drive an automatic transmission 16’ refrigerated box truck or van on short and long distance deliveries.
-Monitor vehicle safety and maintenance (refuel daily, check tire pressure, add DEF fluid, etc.) and report any issues immediately to farm owners.
-Maintain cleanliness of the truck and monitor reefer temperature for food safety.

-Operate manual or electric pallet jacks, forklifts, and reach trucks to load and unload vehicles.
-Hand load and or re-stack pallets as necessary.
-Cross-check packed orders against invoices to ensure all ordered items are delivered.

-Deliver paper invoices and return signed invoices from customers to the farm daily, noting any discrepancies.
-Work efficiently and independently.

Schedule:
Monday: 7 am – 5:00 pm
Tuesday: 8 am – 3 pm
Wednesday: 7 am – 5:00 pm
Saturday: 8 am – 1 pm

Wage is $20/hour plus overtime >40 hours/week plus unlimited vegetables.
