Hiring: Delivery Driver – Riverland Farm

Delivery Driver

Once properly trained the person in this position will be responsible for managing the delivery of farm produce and pick up of various other materials. We expect this role to be filled by someone that has keen attention to detail, good organizational skills, and good people and communication skills. A person that excels in this role is a good team player, has a positive attitude and good work ethic, strong spatial relations, is efficiently minded, and is physically fit. Outside of the delivery responsibilities the person in this position may be included in general farm work when deliveries are light that may include property and vehicle maintenance.

All applicants will be considered for these positions but preference is given to those with prior delivery or truck driving experience. You must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record to apply.

Runs ASAP – Dec 20th (there may be some additional farm work available when deliveries are light)

Responsibilities include:

1. Driving an automatic transmission 16’ Cabover Box Truck or other vehicle on short and long range deliveries.
2. Ensuring that truck is running smoothly and is refueled when required. Report any potential issues with the truck to farm owners immediately.
3. Making wholesale deliveries at different locations weekly.
4. Typical hours will be  5:30 am – 3:30pm Monday and Thursday – additional hours may be available
5. Applicant must have some experience driving a box truck and be able to easily back it up to a loading dock.
6. Prior delivery experience dealing with invoices and customers is a plus
7. Ideal candidate for this position has driven trucks of this type consistently, is very responsible, and is able to carry out detail oriented tasks with little supervision.
8. Experience with a pallet jack is a plus

To keep our crew as safe as possible we require face coverings while inside vehicles with more than one person or inside any building. We have hand wash/sanitizing stations on the farm and in all trucks and we promote social distancing at all times.–
