Hiring: Farm Crew -Whippoorwill Farm

FARM CREW: Full and Part Time Seasonal
(May thru September 2022)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Farm Crew members will work in conjunction with our Field Manager to participate in all aspects of vegetable crop production, including planting, weeding, mulching and harvesting. Farm crew may also assist with flower field maintenance, bouquet making, berry picking, and greenhouse and farm stand upkeep. We are seeking hardworking, dedicated team players with a passion for working on the land and growing healthy food. These positions run early May thru September, with flexible start and finish dates.  7 to 4 pm, flexible days off.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Positive attitude, punctual, dependable

• ​Engage in farm work for extended periods of time.Take instruction and well and be willing to learn
• Safe use of farm tools and equipment

QUALIFICATIONS

·         Entry level position but previous farm experience helpful

• ​Minimum age of 14 with working papers
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, perform repetitive tasks

COMPENSATION

Pay scale ranges from $15 to $18 per her, commensurate with experience.
