Hiring: Farm Stand Manager – Clark Farm

The Farm Stand at 201 Bedford Road in Carlisle, MA seeks a dynamic person with an entrepreneurial spirit who will partner with Clark Organic Farm in building a financially sustainable agricultural enterprise while also developing a thriving community space.  As Clark Farm’s retail startup, The Farm Stand is not only a farm market but also a pick your own operation where families are encouraged to come and learn about growing food.  Opportunities abound for the creative person to engage and educate all ages both on and off the field. Candidates should share a commitment to Clark Farm’s core values which include: growing food of the highest quality sustainably, engaging the community and strengthening people’s connections to the land, supporting education about sustainable agriculture and the food system, and increasing access to healthy food for everyone.

Responsibilities include:

Farm Stand Operations: 

• Source sustainably produced items with a preference for local
• Work collaboratively with the Farm Manager to insure that produce is kept fresh and looking beautiful
• Order, price, and merchandise products
• Maintain on-going inventory management
• Create a clean, aesthetically pleasing environment
• Hire and Train staff to reflect the mission and culture of The Farm Stand
• Insure a welcoming and distinctive customer experience
• Schedule staff

Management and Communication

• Manage Farm Stand Communication
• Provide financial reporting
• Meet weekly with Farm Manager
• Work directly with owners to fulfill the vision for Clark Organic Farm and The Farm Stand

Work Schedule and Compensation:

• 2017 Work schedule is anticipated to be mid-March/April through December
• Salary commensurate with experience
• Two weeks paid vacation (to be taken during the offseason)
• Produce & a share of farm meats & eggs
