Food Access Assistant – The Food Access Assistant is integral to Grow Food Northampton’s efforts to ensure that all members of the Northampton community have equitable access to local, nutrient-dense, and culturally relevant food and nourishment. The position includes engagement with all aspects of Grow Food Northampton’s food access work, including the Free Mobile Farmers Market, Tuesday and Winter Farmers Markets, community gardens, events, and workshops at low-income housing. The Food Access Assistant position requires flexibility, initiative, and a comfort working with people from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of needs. You will be an integral part of a high-functioning team that works collaboratively to achieve the goals and objectives of Grow Food Northampton’s Food Access programming.

Job Type and Schedule:

Part-time, averaging 20 hours per week. This position is seasonal, beginning in mid-April and ending in mid-November, with the option to continue throughout the winter with limited hours.

Compensation and Benefits:

$20.00 – $24.00/hour. Benefits include paid vacation; 401(k) matched up to 4%; health insurance coverage at 80% employer contribution with optional dental coverage; and local food, technology, and professional development stipends.
