Hiring: Full Time Field Position/Washroom Assistant/Delivery Driver – Next Barn Over

Runs April – December

Responsibilities include:

The employee in this position will be involved in various aspects of crop production from greenhouse, to field, to washroom, and delivery responsibilities.
This includes but is not limited to:

• transplant production
• transplanting by machine and by hand
• hoeing, hand weeding
• managing row cover
• harvesting
• operating farm vehicles

This position does require working in inclimate weather.

This employee will also assist the washroom manager with washing, processing, and packing all farm produce for our CSA distribution, our box shares, and our wholesale orders.

This employee will also make local and regional deliveries of the CSA box shares and wholesale orders. Valid drivers license and competent driving skills are required, along with the ability to repeatedly lift 50 lbs. This position includes loading and unloading the deliveries, as well as picking up and returing to the farm any reusable containers/crates.

Pay starts at $10.50/hr, commensurates with experience.

Housing:

On farm housing is not available but there are ample rental possibilities and housing shares in the surrounding area. Situated in the Connecticut River Valley, the farm is 10 minutes from Amherst, MA and 20 minutes from Northampton, MA. Nature and nightlife are close by. We are lucky enough to be growing on some of the best vegetable soil in the country. Come farm with us.
