Hiring: Harvest Crew and Kitchen Crew – Kitchen Garden Farm
Kitchen Garden Farm is accepting applications to join our Harvest Crew and Kitchen Crew at our 50-acre certified organic vegetable farm in Sunderland, MA. We grow high-quality specialty vegetables for wholesale to stores and restaurants through the northeast region. We also produce award-winning sriracha and salsa from ingredients grown on the farm.
Harvest Crew positions are available immediately through the end of November, with opportunity for year-round employment after completing a full season. Harvesters works closely with owners Tim & Caroline and nine veteran employees who have been with the farm between 2 and 4 years. Harvest positions involve primarily harvesting in the fields and greenhouses and packing vegetables in the washroom but some hours each week will be devoted to other farm work including greenhouse seeding, transplanting, hand weeding and field tasks as needed. At least one season farm experience preferred. Harvest positions start at $12/hr, approximately 50 hours per week. Preference for full time but open to part time as well, starting at $11/hr.
Kitchen Crew positions start in August processing tomatoes, tomatillos, onions, and peppers from the farm for salsa and sriracha at the Western Mass Food Processing Center in Greenfield. In addition to food prep Kitchen Crew positions also include harvesting of produce at the farm in Sunderland. Applicants for Kitchen positions must be available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Kitchen positions start at $12/hour.

Prior experience on a farm is preferred and ideal candidates will be passionate about good food, reliable and efficient, eager to learn, have excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
