Quabbin Harvest Food Co-op in Orange, Massachusetts is seeking a skilled and creative cook to take the lead in The Kitchen Collaborative, our popular prepared foods department. Team members at Quabbin Harvest are a key part of our work to support the local food economy and grow the market for local farms. Our community-owned grocery store works to be a resource for all.

We take a diverse approach to cooking, reflected in our tagline “Local foods with global flavors.” The successful applicant will be able to build on a base of tested favorites and add new ideas for wraps, noodles, salads, soups, sides, and other offerings.

The position is for 10 hours a week, with additional hours for occasional catering. The Kitchen Lead works with staff and volunteers to fill our grab-and-go cooler twice a week. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and be ServSafe and allergen certified within three months of hiring. Familiarity with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diets a bonus.
