Summary of Position: The Market Development & Food Access Manager provides leadership and vision for building strong markets for the immigrant and refugee farmers World Farmers serves through our Flats Mentor Farm (FMF) Program. This position oversees a team of two staff who work together to implement sales, marketing, and technical assistance efforts across numerous market outlets, including: World Farmers’ CSA, Farm to Family CSA shares in partnership with Just Roots, Farmers’ Markets, Wholesale, Value Added Products created in our Commercial Kitchen and Commercial Mill, and additional Food Access programming. The Manager oversees all of these market outlets and builds relationships with FMF farmers of ethnically and socially diverse backgrounds, while facilitating and exploring new and existing market opportunities. This individual needs to have a high level of autonomy, initiative, and the ability to work with a range of players.
