Hiring: Part-time Farm Hand

Natural Roots Farm is a diversified horse-powered family farm focusing on organically grown vegetable, berry, and pastured egg production for a 220-family CSA and farm store.  We’re looking for a capable, energetic team member to join us for fun and meaningful work this fall.

We are seeking an experienced PART-TIME FARM HAND from the week of August 11th through November, for approximately 22 hours per week. Specifically,Tuesdays & Fridays from 8:30  to 5:00 for our CSA harvest days, plus one other full day of work (or 2 half-days if preferred).  Per week, tasks will include general fieldwork, transplanting, weeding, setting fence, and livestock chores, in addition to harvesting, washing and packing produce.  We’re looking for a positive, detail-oriented person who can work well in a team and also independently.  Applicants must have some vegetable farming/harvesting experience.  Pay is $18/hour (with accrued sick time).  Interested applicants should send a letter of interest with an attached resume with three work references.
