Hiring: Poultry Processing Crew – Reed Farm
Poultry Processing Crew, 2nd shift (Sun & Tues, 12-6pm) – Reed Farm, Sunderland MA
Reed Farm (Sunderland MA) is hiring for a poultry processing (2nd shift) and cleaning position.
$18/hr to start, on the job training. Potential to increase to $20+ and room to grow into leadership positions.
Required shifts: 12pm-6pm on Sundays and Tuesdays (occasionally altered to Mon/Wed some weeks). Additional shifts available, if desired.
Overtime at 40+ hours/week, chicken, and raises per skills and experience gained.
Experience appreciated, but not required.

Responsibilities:
*assisting in poultry processing, rinsing birds, preparing tanks and bins with ice and water.
*use of knives and sharp tools
*monitoring chilling
*clean up and sanitization of facility and equipment
Physical requirements:
*ability to stand for a 6 hour shift, with paid break
*ability to lift up to 50 lbs
*ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 10 pounds repeatedly
*ability to work in a wet environment
*ability to work in a cool environment (chilling and packing under refrigeration)
*ability to work in an environment with live animals
*ability to work with livestock and throughout the process of producing food from livestock
Must have reliable transportation.

We are the only poultry processing facility in Western MA with a Small Enterprise Exemption License, which allows poultry processed at our facility to be sold in MA.
