Hiring: Teen Instructor – Farm and Garden Camp
ABOUT: Farm and Garden Camp seeks to cultivate reciprocal, conscientious, and caring relationships with place and community through growing, harvesting, and working with food and fiber in meaningful and authentic ways. We operate a mid-size summer day camp and vacation days during school vacations. We are hiring Summer Season Instructors for the 2023 summer DAY CAMP (1 week of staff training + 7 weeks of camp). We are seeking instructors for both elementary age children and teenagers.

Teen Instructor — The Teen Instructor primarily implements the Jr. Counselor-In Training program. Curriculum focuses on food systems leadership and relationships with land through three content modules: Food Systems Advocacy, Kinship & Ancestry, and Self-Care and Wellness. This position requires strong facilitation and curriculum development skills (hands-on activities and discussions), a genuine love of early adolescents, and an ability to work on one’s own within a supportive team. 40 hours per week July 3 through August 25. $20/hr
