Hiring: Winter Market Manager – Lombrico Farms
Hours: 16–20 hours per week (Weekends Required)
Start Date: Early October
Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Farmers Market Manager to join Lombrico Farm this Fall and Winter! This part-time role involves overseeing our market stall operations, ensuring it remains stocked, organized, and visually appealing. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a good driving record, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the market stall, ensuring it is fully stocked and visually presentable.
- Operate the point of sale system to process customer transactions accurately.
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and engaging with shoppers.
- Drive a farm van to and from the market location.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of products.
- Set up and break down the stall each market day.
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Experience with point of sale (POS) systems.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work weekends and a flexible schedule.
- Previous farmers market or retail experience is a plus.
Compensation:
$18–$20 per hour, based on experience and seasonal commitment.
There is the possibility for additional hours during the week performing farm work if desired.
