Organic Strawberry PYO at Red Fire Farm, Montague

Red Fire Farm will be open to the public for one day only pick-your-own organic strawberries, and a Farmer’s Market booth for purchasing seasonal produce and local cream. From 2pm-5pm, try free tastings of many strawberry varieties. In addition, the farm will be selling decadent desserts of strawberry shortcake and chocolate covered strawberries. Visitors can also enjoy live music by Below the Gaff, a local Celtic band. Other free activities include Fairy House Building, Walking Tours of the Farm, an art show from local students and more.

In the evening is the Strawberry Soiree Feast in the Fields, a ticketed locavore dinner available later in the evening at 5:30pm, with the Masala Jazz Band setting the mood. Created by chef Mary Reilly from Edible Pioneer Valley, the menu will feature Red Fire Farm seasonal organic produce and local products from other area farms. Tickets start at $35 with an option to also make a donation to Mount Grace Land Trust.

All events will take place rain or shine. Strawberry Soiree events are free, except for the sit-down dinner in the field.
