NEPM: Dusty Goat Farm

This week’s #localherospotlight is a visit to East Longmeadow and Dusty Goat Farm. Claire, Monte, and Kaliis visit with Erin Sewell about growing microgreens for farmers’ markets, restaurants, and home delivery.

Around the time of the pandemic, Sewell managed a local construction company and discovered she had Lyme disease. She says, “The microgreens are a huge part of my recovery just because they’re superfoods, essentially. They’re like little ninjas and they’ve really helped.” Eventually, the microgreens took on a life of their own, and Dusty Goat Farm began to supply others with these powerful packets of nutrients.

Dusty Goat Farm offers cantaloupe, radish, kale, broccoli, and several spicy varieties of sprouts. Look for them on their website and at local farmers’ markets.
