These full-day programs are designed for the serious beginning farmer looking for in-depth instruction, hands-on training, and a chance to ask all your pesky questions! Taught by some of the best Mentor Farmers you’ll ever find, renowned organic farmers Donn Hewes and Maryrose Livingston of Northland Sheep Dairy in Marathon, NY and Karma and Michael Glos of Kingbird Farm in Berkshire, NY.

Draft Horse Intensive, Part I

Location: Northland Sheep Dairy

Cost: $120-$150 Per Day, Voluntary Sliding Scale

You may register for Part I only, or for both Parts I and II. Prerequisite: Experience with horses and premission of Instructor. A hands on practicum for the beginning teamster or serious wannabe. Learn to think like a horse. Prerequisites: Some experience with horses and permission of instructor.
