Eric Toensmeier on Regenerative Farming Enterprises

Co-author of Edible Forest Gardens among other titles, Eric Toensmeier will discuss earth-friendly methods for promoting robust food production while improving soil fertility, sequestering carbon and contributing to equitable economies. Preceding his talk, at 5:30, there is an optional tour of  GCC’s Permaculture and Near-Zero-Net Energy Greenhouse. The tour will begin at the garden on the south side of South Building. This event is hosted by Heifer International, GCC’s Farm and Food Systems program and GCC’s SAGE (Sustainable Agriculture and Green Energy) Education Center. Intended as a fundraiser for Heifer, donations of $10-$20 are suggested, though no one is turned away for lack of funds.
