Nature All Year: A Phenology Study Club
Sundays, once a month, January through December 2014
Please join us for a place-based, year-long, once-a-month study of our area with a focus on phenological changes. Phenology is the study of the timing, sequencing and synchronizing of natural events throughout the year, as well as the shifting of those events due to weather, climate and other factors.
Each class will meet for three hours, one Sunday a month, and will be field-based, focusing on an ecological topic relevant to the season. Each month we will have a different naturalist leader. Classes will explore South Amherst: Lawrence Swamp and the Holyoke Range. See the Hitchcock Center’s web site for full year of dates, leaders, topics, locations, and more information.
Full Program, twelve walks: Members $200/ Non-members $225
Individual Walks, if space available: Members $20/ Non-members $25
