Tool-Sharpening Workshop!

The tool-sharpening workshop is back by popular demand! Participants will learn about sharpening garden tools, hand-tools and knives, before being turned loose on a patch of garden with the most interesting selection of hand-tools we can muster. So if you have rusty, dull tools, bring them to sharpen. If you’ve ever wanted to try a broadfork, colineal hoe, push-seeder, scythe or landscaper rake, to name but a few, come try them out! Pros and cons of different tools, different brands, and different designs will be reviewed. You will go home with sharp, oiled tools and a firm grasp of how to refurbish and maintain your current collection, along with a wishlist of tools that will make your gardening more of a joy and less of a pain in your back. Please bring workgloves and a metal file if you have one. Oil and rags will be provided.
