Value-Added: Turning your Ideas into Action!

Learn what it takes to launch a new value-added product, and get inspiration from seasoned producers. Joanna Benoit from the Western MA Food Processing Center will discuss key product considerations, regulations, and start-up costs, and a panel of producers — including Joan Walker of Walker Farm at Whortleberry Hill, Abe Hunrichs of Hosta Hill, and J. P. Welch of Justamere Tree Farm — will share their experiences assessing opportunities, refining recipes, getting funding, developing infrastructure, and more.

Dinner will be served. Local Hero member cost is $15 to attend just one workshop, or $25 to attend both. RSVP by April 10th to Kristen at 413-665-7100, ext. 12.
