NEPM: Shattuck’s Sugarhouse

“We all have to be stewards of the forest in order to benefit from the trees,” says Nick Shattuck of Shattuck’s Sugarhouse in Belchertown. The family planted 75 red maple and rock maple trees on a grid 45 years ago, and now 4 1/2 miles of tubing facilitates maple extraction. Check out their Sugar Fest on March 15th.
